On behalf of the Saudi Ophthalmology Society, it is my distinct honor to welcome you to SOS 2026 in Al Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from 5–7 November 2026, with pre-conference activities on 4 November.
As we gather for this important occasion, SOS 2026 stands as a reflection of our collective ambition to advance ophthalmology through innovation, collaboration, and knowledge exchange. This conference brings together a distinguished community of experts and professionals dedicated to improving vision care and patient outcomes.

Esteemed Colleagues, Distinguished Guests, and Honorable Members,
It is my distinct honor and privilege to welcome you to the Saudi Ophthalmology Society (SOS) Meeting, convening from November 4th to 7th, 2026, in the distinguished city of Al Khobar.
This year's assembly marks a profound milestone in our society's history, as we proudly host our annual meeting in the Eastern Province for the very first time. Renowned for its strategic importance as a global energy epicenter, its picturesque Arabian Gulf shores, and its commitment to knowledge and culture.
We are profoundly grateful to conduct this landmark symposium in strategic alliance with Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University and Dhahran Eye Specialist Hospital. Their steadfast dedication to medical excellence has been pivotal in designing a program of international caliber.
Our scientific committee has meticulously formulated an agenda that addresses the forefront of ophthalmic science and practice:
Pre-Conference Symposium (November 4): A dedicated day focusing on the latest clinical and surgical advancements in Cornea, alongside a specialized Young Ophthalmology track designed to mentor and elevate the next generation of clinical leaders.
Comprehensive Main Congress (November 5–7): An exhaustive exploration of all ophthalmic subspecialties, encompassing Vitreoretina, Cataract and Lens, Glaucoma, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Neuro-ophthalmology, Uveitis, and Oculoplasty.
The Evolving Landscape of Ophthalmic Practice: In acknowledgment of the structural transformations within modern healthcare, dedicated sessions will explore Artificial Intelligence and pioneering innovations, alongside crucial panels on healthcare finance, private practice administration, and medical education.
