Young Ophthalmologists - Eligibility Criteria
General rules for eligibility before applying for the Young Ophthalmologists award
SOS Membership
Only SOS members are eligible to apply for this award.
SOS membership should be valid.
Young Ophthalmologists Only
Award is only for Young Ophthalmologists, including acting consultants (less than 3 years from obtaining the ophthalmology board certificate), fellows, senior registrars and residents.
Principal Investigator
The applicant should be the principal investigator (first author) of the published paper.
Saudi Arabia Focus
The topic of the research should be one of the ophthalmic diseases pertinent to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Publication Period
The research must have been published between 2023 and 2025 in any recognized, peer-reviewed, and indexed journals.
Prize Information
The winners will receive a certificate for this award and a cheque of

The applicant should be consultant Ophthalmologist and be the principal investigator (first author) of the published paper.
Saudi Arabia Focus
The topic of the research should be one of the ophthalmic diseases pertinent to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Publication Period
The research must have been published between 2023 and 2025 in any recognized, peer-reviewed, and indexed journals.
Prize Information
The winners will receive a certificate for this award and a cheque of
