SOS | GO 2025 Abstract Submission Guidelines
Abstracts will be selected whether oral or E-poster presentations depending on the number and quality of abstracts received. Accepted Videos and Photos will be presented digitally.
Note
- Abstract submissions Deadline 20 July 2025
- Any abstract received after the deadline will not be accepted.
- Upon completion of the evaluation of the abstract, an ‘Accepted’ or ‘Rejected’ message will be sent to the authors by email.
- The final way on how abstracts will be presented is a scientific committee decision.
- Abstracts submitted as a Case Report may be accepted as a Poster.
General Guidelines
- Carefully follow all the instructions posted on the website for abstract submission carefully.
- Abstracts must be submitted online.
- Please read the abstract structure notes to follow your submission as requested.
- All abstracts must be written in English.
- The presenting author must be the First (submitting) Author.
- The abstract must be submitted with the intention that, if accepted, it will be presented by the First Author.
- The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract and its submission.
- If the abstract is accepted for presentation, the same work described in the abstract must be presented with the same title and content.
- The financial disclosure of the author should be declared at the time of abstract submission and presentation.
- If all required fields are not filled out, the abstract will not be submitted successfully.
- All presenters are required to register for SOS|GO 2025 and pay all applicable fees.
- All presenters are required to register for SOS|GO 2025 and pay all applicable fees.
- The SOS|GO 2025 does not pay honoraria or travel or housing expenses for any presenters.

1. Free Paper Submission Guidelines
- If you are submitting more than one free paper, each must be submitted separately.
- All abstracts must be written in English
- Complete each author’s full name. Include the correct address, mobile number, email address, hospital, and organization of the First Author.
- A notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the First Author. The presenter’s name in the program will also be the First Author. Please ensure that you include the First Author’s correct contact information.
- Abstract guidelines
- Title: It may not exceed 60 characters. Please use title field when entering your title (use both upper-case and lower-case letters as appropriate).
- A well-written poster abstract has the following identified sections:
- Background/objectives: a brief introduction. It should include a background of 1-2 statements followed by the objectives of the investigation.
- Design and methods: the methodologies, number of subjects/patients who are tested and scientific approach used to conduct the research.
- Results: it is expected that the authors present data that supports their conclusion.
- Conclusions: overall outcome of the research should be mentioned clearly and not less than two statements.
- When using abbreviations or acronyms for the first time, you should take care to spell them out in full with the abbreviation in parentheses after the full word(s) the first time they appear in the text. The abbreviations should be used alone thereafter in your text.
- All abstracts should not exceed 300 words
- The author gives permission to record at the time of the abstract submission.
- The financial disclosure of the author should be declared at the time of abstract submission and presentation.
- Indicate if the paper has been presented before and provide details.
- The Scientific Program Committee reserves the right to assign a shorter duration, if necessary
- Presentation guidelines
- Free Paper must be uploaded as Portrait PowerPoint Files (PPT or PPTX only).
- Font should be no smaller than 18 points.
- Use the template and background for the SOS|GO 2025 conference that will be delivered to you.
- Use clear headings and leave spaces between sections.
- Pictures and graphics should be clearly labelled, well described and with good quality.
- Text should not be obscured by images.
- Remember that simpler Free Paper are always more attractive and easier to read.
- Do not fit too much information on one slide.
2. E-Posters Submission Guidelines
- E-Poster is an electronic version of the traditional boards and is displayed on the e-poster and video kiosks. E-Poster may include text, figures, tables and images but NO video/animations.
- Abstracts are to be submitted online only.
- Electronic Posters must be uploaded as Portrait PowerPoint Files (PPT or PPTX only). Maximum of 12 PowerPoint Slides (file size of maximum 50 MB)
- Font should be no smaller than 18 points.
- Use the template and background for the SOS|GO 2025 conference that will be delivered to you.
- Use clear headings and leave spaces between sections.
- Pictures and graphics should be clearly labelled, well described and with good quality.
- Text should not be obscured by images.
- Remember that simpler posters are always more attractive and easier to read.
- Do not fit too much information on one slide.
- E-Posters should contain no video clips/animation files.
- All the submitted E-Posters will be subjected to an evaluation process.
- References should be mentioned in the E-poster.
- Proofread poster abstracts carefully to avoid errors before submission. No corrections will be allowed or made once the poster abstract has been submitted.
3. Instructional Courses/Workshops Submission Guidelines
- Instructional Courses/Workshops on any field of Ophthalmology will be considered.
- If you are submitting more than one abstract, each must be submitted separately.
- Abstract guidelines
- Title: It may not exceed 60 characters. Please use title field when entering your title (use both upper-case and lower-case letters as appropriate).
- Body: The body should not exceed 300 words. It should consist of a structured layout that includes purpose, methods of instruction, course goals and objectives,
- Target audience, and educational level (basic, intermediate, or advanced).
- Requested duration: 30, 40, or 60 minutes required.
- The Scientific Program Committee reserves the right to assign a shorter duration, if necessary.
- The author gives permission to record at the time of the abstract submission.
- The financial disclosure of the author has been declared at the time of abstract submission and presentation.
4. Surgical Videos Submission Guidelines
- Videos on any aspect of ophthalmic surgery will be considered.
- Submission guidelines
- The video should start with the name of the society and author (s).
- Duration of the video should not exceed five minutes.
- The complete URL of the video must be submitted through the upload link that will be offered by SOS|GO 2025 and its link added to the submission form.
- The video formatting should be as follows: ratio is 16:9 and screen resolution 1080P (1980×1080) as .m4v, .mp4 or .mov format
- The video must include audio narration.
5. Clinical Photos Submission Guidelines
- We invite you to submit high-quality ophthalmic images.
- These images will be selected to be exhibited in SOS|GO 2025
- The images should deliver interesting information and updated knowledge in the field of Ophthalmology.
- These images will be displayed in our photo gallery areas.
